Area Links and Information
Glacier County is
uniquely situated on the rolling prairie in view of where it meets the majestic
Rocky Mountains. Outdoor enthusiasts love the region, and it's no wonder
why. We have millions of acres of national forests, rivers, lakes,
mountains, and Glacier National Park just a short drive away. Local
residents take pride in living where others vacation.
Each year, our
region sees an average of 2 million tourists come to enjoy our region of "Big
Sky Country". Glacier County has a
permanent population of 13,247, with more residents during the warmer months.
Our county seat, Cut Bank, is located on the eastern side of the county.
The eastern half of Glacier National Park is situated on the west side of the
county with the Blackfeet Indian Reservation located between Cut Bank and
Glacier National Park. Cut Bank has a
population of about 3,200 and is governed by a mayor/city council form of
government. Cut Bank citizens enjoy a low crime rate, excellent school
system, accessible government, low cost of living and all the benefits of small-town life.
