Chief's Corner
James T. Laidlaw IV, EMS Chief
Welcome to our home on
the web, we hope you'll take the time to explore our web site and learn more
about us and the services that we provide. All of us here at GCEMS are
proud to have the long-standing history of providing compassionate and highly
skilled care to our community. To provide this care, we rely on a
combination of career and paid-on-call personnel responding to the needs of our
citizens. We offer a wide range of services, including 911 emergency
response, event standby and critical care inter-facility transports. We
are proud to have 3/4 of our full-time medics and
two of our part-time medics certified as critical care paramedics, which is a
major accomplishment for a small department. We pride ourselves with being
able to offer big-city services with a more personal, small-town touch and
continue to strive to be a regional leader as a cutting edge EMS provider.
Glacier County, and our county seat of Cut Bank, is the eastern gateway to Glacier National Park. With the park, as well as millions of acres of national forests, Glacier County offers the absolute best in outdoor recreation. We are based in the community of Cut Bank, which is nestled within view of where Montana's rolling prairie meets the Northern Rocky Mountains. There is little wonder why our city motto is "Where the Rockies Meet the Plains".
We are glad to be able to offer this website as another tool to provide valuable information to our citizens and visitors alike. Should you have any comments or questions about our department or website, please feel free to contact me.
Again, thank you for visiting our site and hope you will contact us with any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
James T. Laidlaw IV, BS, NREMT/P, CCEMT/P
