In the summer of 2006, a fire broke out near the Red Eagle Campground.  The fire quickly spread through national forest and entered Glacier National Park.  Glacier County EMS was activated for ALS medical coverage, and maintained a coverage of the fire throughout it's duration.  GCEMS personnel were rotated up to the fire for one-week tours.  Many of the crews were assigned to a med-evac helicopter, staging at the heli-base for 12-14 hour shifts in case they were needed.  Click on the thumbnails for larger images.
