Ambulance-1
A-1 is our 2nd out ALS response ambulance based at station 1. It is a 2003 Med-Tec "mini-mod" on a Chevy E350 Chassis. It is equipped with a Garmin GPS navigation system, XM Satellite radio, and all the equipment required of an ALS ambulance in Montana. A-1 often moves to the position of 1st-out ALS unit when A-2 is in the shop or out-of-service for any reason. A-1 is the only vehicle in our fleet with air horns, which are mounted in the front bumper. A-1 features a StreetHawk lightbar, which are being phased out of our department in favor of more streamlined lightbars and LED's, which place less stress on the vehicle's electrical system.
