Ambulance-5
A-5 is our only type-1 ambulance that we have in our fleet at this time. A-5 is the 1st-out BLS unit out of station 2. It is a 1998 Wheeled Coach type-1 4x4. Being located just miles from the east side of Glacier National Park, it is vital that station 2 have a 4x4 ambulance that is capable of negotiating the harsh winter conditions and the rough terrain that Montana presents. A-5 was purchased in 2007, ending it's tour of duty as an ambulance on a military installation in California. Although a 1998, it came to us looking like it had just rolled off the assembly line. With more room to work in than the type-2 that station 2 previously had, the personnel at station 2 welcomed it with open arms. A rugged, solid truck, it is a perfect fit for the rugged mountains that sit outside station 2.
